The new Hyundai Tucson successfully passed the crash tests

The new Hyundai Tucson was subjected to rigorous crash tests being conducted by Euro NCAP and, to the delight of the automotive, it earned the highest rating: five stars in safety.

Thomas Schmid, COO of Hyundai Motor Europe, explained why he was not surprised with the test result. “The new Tucson features a variety of new security technologies such as autonomous emergency brakes at an affordable price. The 5 stars reached in this test Euro NCAP I is evidence of the quality and safety that we incorporate into our vehicles”, he said.

Thus, the mark obtained allows us to suggest that the unit is one of the safest and best-equipped cars in its segment. While the rating takes into account only safeguard elements such as lane keeping alert and information of speed limits in their trials, the new Hyundai Tucson also has Autonomous Emergency Brakes (AEB), detectors for blind spots mirrors, rear perpendicular traffic alerts and turn signals, among other devices that aim to prevent and minimize severe accidents.
